ShapeCoder is an accurate and reliable tool for evaluating body type based on a statistical analysis of body shape data from more than 130 children (UMTRI Child Body Shape Model).

ShapeCoder can be used by researchers as a reliable, valid, sensitive, and specific measure of children’s BMI or weight status when images of children are available for study but measured BMI is not available
